Professor. E. Olawale Ogunkola is a Professor in the Department of Economics at the University of Ibadan, Ibadan, Nigeria and a Research Professor both at the Centre for Econometrics and Allied Research (CEAR) and Trade Policy Research and Training Programme (TPRTP). His area of teaching specialization include econometrics, mathematical economics, operations research and international trade theory at both undergraduate and graduate levels. He has consulted widely for various bodies in Nigeria. Africa and internationally including the World Bank, the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP), the UK Department for International Development (DfID), Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO) and the Economics and Community of West African States (ECOWAS). He was a visiting scholar to the International Monetary Fund (IMF) in 2001. He was a visiting Lecturer at the National University of Lesotho (2000 – 2002). He is a resource person to the Regional Trade Policy Course(RTPC) OF World Trade Organisation (WTO) since 2002. He has published extensively in the area of trade and regional integration with particular focus on Africa. He holds a Ph.D degree from the University of Ibadan.
